Someone help me please!!! Factor the trinomial: 2x^2 - 5x - 3 (2x + 1)(2x - 3) (2x + 1)(x - 3) (2x - 1)(x - 3) (2x - 1)(2x + 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the factor is : (2x+1) (x-3)

how do i solve it , how do i find that answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

times the three by the 2 to get 2x^2-5x-6 which can then factor to (2x+1)(2x-6). so you then take take the 2 out of 2x-6 which leaves you with (2x+1)(x-3)
