The library just bought 48 new books. If the librarians have already put 5/12 of the books on the shelves, how many of the new books have been put on shelves?

You divide the total number by the bottom number of the fraction then multiply the number you got by the top number of the fraction so the answer is 48/12= 4 and 4*5= 20

So 24?
