a variable is a number that is unknown to you it helps you substatute the unknown so you can plan ahead like you are going to a concert with some friends but your not sure how many friends want to come you have $120 to spend each ticket costs $10 and parking costs $6 How many frinds can you bring?

Write an equation to see the most amount of frinds you can bring or something like that

120 divided by 16 is 7.5, but you can't take a half a person, obviously, so you could take 6 people with you.
