vertical asymptote is -6 horizontal asymptote is 2 so y=(2x+a)/(x+6) now can you find a ?

what would be my first step?

OpenStudy (amoodarya):

x --->x+6 y --->y+2 put them in y=4/x then you will find all that you want because shifting x-axis by -6 an shif y-axis by +2
