So I am slightly confused. What was the system that Linnaeus came up with that named species. Was it taxonomy or was it his hierarchical system with the seven taxons? I am going with Taxonomy..but want confirmation.
I think you are right but am not 100% sure
you right you have a 83 by you u must be smart medal me
I think that the "hierarchical system with the seven taxons" that you're talking about is one of the two main features of the entire scope of "taxonomy." The other main feature is the shorter "binomial classification." That's where we just name the Genus and Species. He was known as the Father of Modern Taxonomy. So I do believe that Linnaeus came up with the groundwork for both of those features, and Taxonomy as a whole. Here, I did come across this article: http://biology.about.com/od/evolution/a/aa092304a.htm
Alright so I am right! Thanks!! BTW. I don t give medals to medal askers hah..
