√(x+4)-√(x-36)=400 how would I find x?

You can either square both sides(which is tedious in my opinion) or add (root (x-36)) to the right side and square both sides like that. I feel that that way is easier because less radicals on one side is just... easier... Remember to use the formula \[(a+b)^{2}=(a ^{2}+2ab+b ^{2})\] It'll make life easier.
