K i know this is math but i have to turn in this assignment plz help!!! Genes B-blonde b-brunette Mon=Bb Dad-Bb if they had 50 children, how many would have brunette hair?
Simple math
plz explain
This is a question which has answer in heredity of biology. mom=Bb dad=Bb B is dominant b is suppressed So the combinations are BB, Bb, bB, bb so the out of these four only brunette hair has one bb. so if there is 50, the result will be, (50/4)(1)=12.5. as it is nearest integer, so answer is 12.
k i got the same answer when i woeked on it thank you so much!!I like it when ppl try to help me u are the best!!K i have one more question
on the same part it said name the gene that have blonde and burnette hairs as two of its alleles ?it will be Bb right?
yes
and genotypic ration will be???of the off spring?
genotypic ratio, BB:Bb:bb=1:2:1 phenotypic ratio=blonde:brunette=(BB,Bb,bB):(bb)=3:1
and what if its 50% and 50%?
to be genotypic ratio=1:1 i.e. 50% and phenotypic ratio=1:1 i.e. 50% mom=Bb dad=bb or vice versa so off springs are Bb, Bb, bb,bb g.r.=Bb:bb=1:1 p.r.=blonde:brunette=1:1
k thank you so much!!I have one more question to u just have to check my work!. Do u want me to do that seperately? so i could give u anoter medal??
separately means?????????? it would be my pleasure to help you.
k i will ask it to u here
F-small feet f-large feet Mom-ff Dad-FF
What is the genotypic ration of off spring?100% Phenotypic ratio?small feet If these parents had 5 kids how many of them would have small feet?all of them
g.r=Ff only=100% you are right. p.r.=small feet only=100% so out of 5 children all 5 have small feet. you are right
K thank you so much!!
welcome
