I have just begun the early stages of Trigonometry and I am wondering if Sin(theta), Cos(theta) and Tan(theta) all have set positions in the triangle that are always in the same location. And how to identify the opposite, hypotenuse and adjacent side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you identify the opposite according to the angle you need to evaluate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the adjacent to the angle you need to evaluate

i got this picture from the internet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you look at the angle theta, you can see the location of the opp, and adj and hyp

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you try to take the angle at the top of the triangle then the opp will become adj, and adj will be the opp, the last side would be the hyp

wow, thank you so much! I appreciate it
