OpenStudy (anonymous):

514x10^-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following equals 6,000,000 in scientific notation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6x10^6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[6\times10^{6}\] When you move the decimal to the left the exponent is positive.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@dm6212 The first answer given is incorrect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I shouldn't say that. But in regards so the simplicity of the work this is early scientific notation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ShotGunGirl the first answer is correct cuz in the question it is not asked to write it in scientific notation just to write it as power of 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@rizwan_uet, no offense was intended. However, I was simply assuming that the asker wanted an answer in Scientific notation given all of his previous question. However, it is still incorrectly presented.

The Open Study policy is to explain each answer as fully as you possibly can so that the asker understands the work. If you've agreed to the terms and conditions when joining you might have noticed that. Unless of course, there are none for this site. I can't right remember.

ok my mistake @ShotGunGirl

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I really should have just laid off anyway, my mistake as well :)
