Can someone check this answer for me? In medieval European society, there was some debate as to whether the king or the pope was truly the most powerful figure in the hierarchy. However, in practice the more powerful were A. the pope, because kings did not challenge Church decisions B. the pope, because the Church was wealthier than most kings C. the kings, because they had control of militaries D. the kings, because the pope was only concerned with religious issues I picked B - Just wanted to make sure that I'm right or not.
