Machines A, B, and C are doing the same amount of work. Machine A takes three times as long as machine B and two times as long as machine C to do the work. Which statement is true about the power of machine A?

OpenStudy (shane_b):

You didn't list the statements to choose from but maybe this will help:\[Power = \frac{\Delta Work}{\Delta time}\]From that you should be able to see that you must increase the amount of power in order to reduce the amount of time to do some fixed amount of work. Put another way, which would you rather do? Walk up 100 stairs or run up 100 stairs? The same amount of work is done...but one takes more effort (power) because you're doing the work in less time.
