Please help. Find the equilibrium solutions of the differential equation dy/dt= y + 3/1 − y

OpenStudy (jamesj):

equilibrium solutions are when dy/dt = 0. I.e., they don't change with time, which is why we say they are in equilibrium! Hence, what can you now say about y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would have to find y to where it would equal 0 on the other side? thank you for the reply

OpenStudy (jamesj):

If dy/dt = 0 then y + 3/(1-y) = 0 You can now solve for y

okay, thank you so much!
