\[E=\cos(\alpha -\omega t)\] with amplitudes of 3 and 4 respectively and phases of pi/6 and pi/2, respectively. Both waves have a period 1 second. Since T=1 second I said \[\omega = 2\pi \nu = 2\pi/T\] and plugging in I get \[E _{1} = 3\cos(\pi/6 -2\pi t)\]\[E _{1} = 4\cos(\pi/ -2\pi t)\]
