okay so if they both traveled the same distance you can make them equal to each other. d=d so then lets just use "s" for speed, and on the going trip it took 3.5 hours so... it is the total speed times the time it took which gives you the speed. so.. \[3.5(s-60)=2.5(s+6)\] now just distribute and solve for s, and you have the speed.
