a uniform rope of length l is pulled by a constant force F.what is the tension in the rope at a distance x from the end, where it is applied?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The tension in the rope is uniform throughout as applying a force at one end simply transfers the force throughout the length of the rope thereby the Force applied will be equal to the tension in the string. It doesn't vary with the length or point at which it is measured.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[Tension = Force \div length \] . It is same at every point on the rod.
