How can you find the domain and range of an absolute value function?

hero (hero):

For the domain, it's usually all real numbers since there is nothing restricting the input. For the output, you have to pay attention to the graph of the absolute value function along the y axis. You have to observe where the graph begins along that axis and in which direction it continues.

hero (hero):

Try graphing the y = |x| and see for yourself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

domain is all positive values while range is also positive real numbers due to absolute sign

hero (hero):

Domain is not only positive values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yeah u ryt

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we can assume any value for x
