How did the Scientific Revolution contribute to the Enlightenment? It lessened the importance of observation and measurement in scientific discovery. It led to a violent revolution and the overthrow of the crown. It strengthened people's belief in the authority of the Church. It led thinkers to seek out explanations instead of accepting common knowledge.
