OpenStudy (amistre64):

you need to factor the denominator to determine this

OpenStudy (amistre64):

just at a cursory glance; 5 would not be able to produce a VA, only a hole.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok its driving me crazy. I know what factoring the denominator is, but i just cant remember how to do it.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

:) it takes a little practice; but let me go with the definition of a hole. the only time we get a whole is of the top and bottom have common factors. Since the only factor up top is (x-5), the only possible hole that can be produced is when x=5 since that zeros it out. no option tells us a hole at x=5

OpenStudy (amistre64):

therefore, my gut says there are no holes and only one option calls for that. but this is just gut talking

Ok. Thanks! :)
