what is the slope and y intercept of y= -2/3x - 2. Or rather how do I figure it out?

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

The slope is -2/3 the y intercept is -2

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

the number next to the x is the slope and the one to the right is the y intercept

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

but before u can say that u have to put it in y=mx+b form.

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

if the slope is just x and there is no number next to it than the slope 1. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay, makes sense. So as long as there is a number or fraction next to the X that is the slope and if there is none then it is always 1?

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

yup. if there is just a x than it is just 1

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

if u dont know what y=mx+b is than just fan me because i have to go and ill explain it when i get home. so u understand better

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

to fan u just put the mouse over my picture and click become fan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thanks so much!

OpenStudy (ryan123345):
