OpenStudy (faman39):

Please help me! :(

OpenStudy (faman39):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what is yoour problem

OpenStudy (faman39):

it is down below

OpenStudy (faman39):

@precal @Luis_Rivera @ghazi @amistre64 can you guys help me ?

OpenStudy (faman39):

@jazy can you able to help me with this?

OpenStudy (faman39):

@perl

OpenStudy (faman39):

@aaronq @AccessDenied @JamesJ @saifoo.khan

OpenStudy (faman39):

I need help badly @JamesJ :(

OpenStudy (jamesj):

Well, I recommend you plot these points on a graph so you can see the relationship very clearly. That will help you a lot.

OpenStudy (faman39):

8 is a y and 6 is x, so?

OpenStudy (jamesj):

You are told what are the x values and what are the y values. Draw the graph. This will help you see what's going on. That is the most instructive piece of help I can give you right now. I'm not going to give you the answer.

OpenStudy (faman39):

I am not looking for answer, i just dont understand how to do it, cuz i tried once and failed

OpenStudy (faman39):

@ksaimouli help me to solve it please

OpenStudy (faman39):

@jazy thank you for coming!

OpenStudy (faman39):

please help me to solve, i did once n i failed to do it correctly

OpenStudy (faman39):

Thank you for coming @ksaimouli!

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

@Faman39 it is 6+8x initial=6 where as x represents number of minutes,

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

u can check if u want to

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

let pick x=0 (6+0)=6 so our equation is right

OpenStudy (faman39):

but what about total cost ?

OpenStudy (jamesj):

Do not give answers! Normally I would delete this but I am going to leave it here and ask you to explain carefully how you arrived at your answer.

OpenStudy (faman39):

i meant call cost

OpenStudy (faman39):

how will i find it exactly

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

@Faman39 i gave the most of it it's time to figure it out by urself think think

OpenStudy (faman39):

@ksaimouli @JamesJ i just came to understand what was my mistake, so i dont make again in the future, i just didnt understand

OpenStudy (faman39):

you guys can see what i wrote

OpenStudy (jamesj):

@ksaimouli, walk him through your process. Pottery Barn rule: you break it, you pay for it. Here it is this: You answer it, you explain it.

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

okay first they gave the initial value right no matter what that is constant so what is initial value in this problem @Faman39

OpenStudy (faman39):

6 cent

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

yup so 6 + in addition to that they provided --- cents for 1 min

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

we dont know what --- so i said x

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

let the ---- be x

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

so 6+8x

OpenStudy (faman39):

Do i have to make x 8?

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

total cost is nothing but adding those i think

OpenStudy (ksaimouli):

they gave u the cost for certain min

OpenStudy (faman39):

I m just confuse how to find total cost in it

OpenStudy (faman39):

should i add this 6+ 8?

OpenStudy (faman39):

or have to do something differently
