What is the difference between an appositive and a relative clause?

Relative clauses are subordinate clauses that attach to nouns and Appositives usually modify noun phrases, and are often themselves noun phrases.

well, an example of an appositive phrase is this.. The new kid at school, Janie, was very shy. "Janie" is the appositive phrase.. idk if that helps! but @Jesus_swag sounds right to me!
