Select the system of equations that corresponds to the given graph. A graph of two lines. The first line passes through the points negative 4 comma negative 3 and 0 comma 4. The second pass through the points -5 comma negative 1 and 2 comma negative 4. -2x - y = 4 2x + y = -2 -8x + 4y = -16 -4x + 2y = -8 -x - 2y = 6 -7x + 4y = 16 2x + 3y = 6 3x + 2y = 4
You should be able to substitute -4 for x and -3 for y and get one of the listed equations, the same goes for the x and y values in the 2nd line. However, I am having conflicts with this. Please verify that you have copied all correctly.
If my calculations are correct the slope of the first line is 7/4 and the second line is -(3/7) These values of slope are inconsistent with the given equations. There should be a pair of the answer giving the same slope values.
The third answer, 2nd equation is consistent with the slope of the first line. The first equations does not match the 2nd line.
