Confirm that f and g are inverses by showing that f(g(x)) = x and g(f(x)) = x. f(x)=4/x and g(x)=4/x

Well, basically what you have to do is plug in f(x) into g(x) and vice versa, so do f(g(x)) by doing 4/(4/x), then just rearrange, cancel, and check if you're left with x. Do the same for g(f(x)), if you're left with x both times, they are inverses.
