I am stuck on how to do this: How much was deposited in the account if the amount in the account after six years is $17.70 and the interest rate is 3%? (we are trying to figure out how to apply the forumula--A = P + prt

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

R is rate and t is time

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

so doesn't that mean that your r will be 3 and your t will be 6

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

actually, your r will be 0.3

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Then, what could p be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not .O3 for r??

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

sorry my keys are going crazy yes you are right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I think what I'm asking is how do I do the prt part? All times each other?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what we got so far is 17.70 = P + (.03 x 6). how do you solve that?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

so it would be this: A=17.70+17.70(6)(0.3).You would multiply prt

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

then you would add p , which is 17.70

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we're trying

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That does it! You do rock for ever! Thanks!

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

thanks! any more questions?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Also, could I have a medal (plz?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we're good. thanks again Absolutely--how do you do a medal?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):
