Help Please: Use synthetic division and the Remainder Theorem to evaluate P(c), where P(x)=x^4 + 7 x^3 + 4 x^2 + 33 x + 38, c=-7. The quotient is The remainder is P(c) =

What you need to do is to divide \[x^4+7x^3+4x^2+33x+38\] by \[(x+7)\]. To do that you need to do synthetic division. ---- The remainder is the when you substitute -7 into the equation into the places where you find x. This is the Remainder Theorem. P(c) is the same as the remainder.
