It sounds like a Lipid. Lipids are one of the four types of macromolecules. Take a look at this picture: http://biology.unm.edu/ccouncil/Biology_124/Images/triglyceride.bmp In this picture, we can see the GLYCEROL, which is GREEN. And we can see the THREE RED FATTY ACIDS that are attached to the glycerol. Do you see how the fatty acids are mainly made up of just carbon and hydrogen?
