Simplify cube root of 8x^9

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Hint: the cube root of 8 is 2 this is because 2^3 = 8 also, the cube root of x^9 is x^3 because you divide the exponent 9 by 3 to get 3

Is my answer cube root of 2x^3?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think my answer key says it is just 2x^3

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

oh i just saw the 2x^3, there's no cube root in your answer once you take the cube root, it goes away

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it does. Thank you~
