Suppose that x has a binomial distribution with n = 15 and p = 0.3. Is the normal approximation reasonable for this binomial distribution? Help! I can't remember how to do this! =/

OpenStudy (kropot72):

If the given values of n and p are used for a normal approximation significant skew will result. You can check this here: http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~lane/stat_sim/binom_demo.html
