A soft-drink vendor at a popular beach analyzes his sales records and finds that if he sells x cans of soda pop in one day, his profit (in dollars) is given by P(x) = −0.001x2 + 3x − 1900. What is his maximum profit per day?

I think...what you do is graph the equation, then find the turning point, which should be the maximum.

The x coordinate is how many cans he sells to get the maximum, and the P(x) coordinate (or the y coordinate), would be the profit he makes selling that many cans.
