WILL MEDAL AND FAN!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you could do is trial-and-error substitute each point into the equation and see if what you get it the RHS equaling the LHS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simplifying it at the start saves time :) y-8=3(x+3) y=3x+9+8 y=3x+17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh! SO 3 and 17 :) A?

OpenStudy (tanner23456):

You can just plug in points and if it turns out equal, it's correct. However, like Chelsea said simplifying it to y=mx+b makes it easier to work with.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=3x+17 A. 17=3(3)+17 17=9+17 A is not correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=3x+17 B. 9=3(-1)+17 9=-3+17 9=14 B is not correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C. y=3x+17 13=3(-2)+17 13=-6+17 13=11 C is not correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay :) I think it's D !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=3x+17 D. 3=3(3)+17 D is not correct

OpenStudy (tanner23456):

Try F (-2,11)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=3x+17 E. 21=3(-2)+17 E is not correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's F! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last one!!! y=3x+17 F. 11=3(-2)+17 11=-6+17 11=11 F is correct!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just did uit it fit perfect :) yaaay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks guys!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What cruel people!!! They put it at the end!!! Wanted to make us calculate it ALL!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem, any more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah a few! :) You're the best omygosh :D
