OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Iam extremely tired so sorry! lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've been doing math all dayy..I'm kindof burnt out :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope: m=-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2,-6) ---> (x1,y1)

hartnn (hartnn):

THE POINT SLOPE FORM IS y-y1 = m (x-x1) where, m= -3 x1 =2, y1 =-6 just plug in values!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

substitute into y-y1=m(x-x1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope is given, and you know where the line crosses the y-axis (y-intercept).... just plug into y =mx + b...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y-(-6)=-3(x-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so -6=-3x + 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y+6=-3x+6

hartnn (hartnn):

where do u get 5 from ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you lost the y and added the #s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Grr sorry i didnt mean 5 meant 6 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y+6=-3x+6 from there y=-3x+6-6
