Question

Help with translating some sentences?? Using the verb I will put in parentheses at the end of the word of the verb! :)

2. I will explain (explicar) math to my neighbor.
3. I will bring (traer) food to a party.
4. I will sleep (dormir) more.
5. I will complete (completar) my homework.
6. And I will come (traducir) to your house.

Since these sentences all start with "I will,"
it means that we have to conjugate the verbs into the FUTURE tense.

Make sense?

Let's take a look at the first one:

"I will accompany (acompañar) my sister to the mall."

Here's a simple future tense rule:

**Usually, whenever we want to say "I will," all we have to do is add é onto the end of the verb.**

Watch this:

"Yo acompañaré a mi hermana al centro comercial."
"I will accompany my sister to the mall."

You can see the two translations, side by side.

I'm looking at #6. It's a little weird.

We're supposed to say "I will come to your house."

But it tells us to use "traducir."

I've never heard of the word "traducir" used to say "to come."

"Traducir" means "to translate."

#6 is a little different.
VENIR conjugates a bit irregularly from most verbs.

When we're conjugating VENIR into the future tense,
we actually start with the base VENDR-

So, it would actually be "Yo vendré."

you can say "Yo vendré a SU casa, "
if you're speaking formally.

But if you're talking to a friend, in an INFORMAL way,
then you can say "Yo vendré a tú casa."
