9(3x + 6) = 14 - (x + 2) 27x + 6 = 14 - 1x + 2 I got rid of the parenthesis 27x + 6 = 16 - 1x I got rid of the 2 28x + 6 = 16 I eliminated the 1x by adding it to both sides 28x = 10 I gor rid of the 6 by subtracting it(both sides) x = 10/28 divide both sides by 28 x = 5/14 simplify
do u get it?
