When a sound source is moving toward the observer, the observer will hear a higher pitch. This is due to a decrease in the amplitude of the sound wave. a decrease in the frequency of the sound wave. an increase in the frequency of the sound wave. an increase in the amplitude of the sound wave. I chose the third one because it makes sense, but i know amplitude has to do with sound too. So I know it's one of the last two.

Amplitude is best equated to the volume of sound you hear. Pitch is determined by the frequency, so you're correct. It is the Third answer.
