Could someone please help me with this..? Jerry inscribed a quadrilateral ABCD in a circle, as shown below. If the measure of arc BCD is 250°, what is the measure of angle BCD? 70˚ 75˚ 55° 80°

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

55 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ryan123345 do u mind explaining how..?

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

sure :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u!!!! a million times!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cuz im completely lost..

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

your welcome :) lol

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

ok so it tells you that arc BCD is 250.

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

since its and inscribed quadrilateral that means the angle opposite from BCD which is BAD is half. So from there u know that BAD is half of 250 so u know BAD is 75

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

no sorry not 75 lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

55?

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

half of 250 is 125. so than u know that BAD is 125

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whoops..

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

than when u get that u know that in an inscribed quadrilaral opposite angles are supplimentary (add up to 180) so to find BCD u get 125 and subtract if from 180 to get 55 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow. thank u sooo much are u in geometry too?

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

Your welcome. And yes im in honors geometry :D
