Do you know the memory device SOH CAH TOA?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well can you name the sides of the triangle in terms of angle C? like: adjacent, hypotenuse, and opposite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont get it.. wiat do you want, sorry i'm acting a little slow

OpenStudy (anonymous):

each side of a triangle has a name depending on what angle you're looking at, in this case angle C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, there are 3 sides to the triangle. The longest side, ie. AC would always be called the hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then the other two sides correspond depending on what angle you look at.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

adjacent means next to, so that is the side that is closest to angle C, but not the hypotenuse. so ie. BC is the adjacent side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that would mean, side AB is the opposite. because it is the side opposite to the angle

|dw:1360292203012:dw| does that make it easier?
