It should be the negative reciprocal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For example if AB has slope 1/2 and it's perpendicular to CD, then CD has slope -1/(1/2)=-2 Another example: AB has slope 5/7 and it's perpendicular to CD, then CD has slope -1/(5/7)=-7/5 Basically flip it and put the opposite sign.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it's 2/5 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

flip it over and put the opposite sign (pos becomes neg and neg becomes pos)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2/5 was the original slope given so you have...

-5/2
