I don't really understand how I would do this... Create a polynomial model for the low temperature each day in your town throughout the year. Research the daily low temperature each day in your town. Choose five temperatures spread across the four seasons. Create a quartic model using regression. Graph the points and regression model on the same graph. Create a quartic model using matrices. Graph the points and matrix model on the same graph. Compare the two models: Are they identical or slightly different? Do both models pass through all five points?
ok im here
you will need the data for low temps
365 days of lowest temps
well, actually just need 5 low temps which is distributed in the seasons so
how about you divide 365 evenly by 5
How would I graph it though?
first give me the 5 data points
so spread the 75 days apart from each other , you can start from january 1
err, 73 days apart 365/5
so you have your 5 data points?
My five points are 35.5, 51.2, 70.9, 52.2, and 37.6 all in degrees Fahrenheit.
