Does it make sense to find the tangent of 10? No, because 10 is not an angle it is a length. Does this help? So finding the tangent of the angle that measures 20 degrees we use any ratio that would use the x (opposite to the angle) and the adjacent angle. This is exactly A. tan20=opp/adj=x/10 :-)
