A 10-foot ramp must make an angle of 30degrees with the ground if it is to reach a certain window. What angle must a 15-foot ramp make with the ground to reach the same window?

Find Height of the window from horizontal ground \[\sin 30 =\frac{Height}{10}\] Use that height to find the angle \[\sin \theta =\frac{height}{15}\]

I got the height as 5. So once I have that, it would be.. sin(theta)=5/15 sin(theta)=1/3 How do I find out what that is in degrees?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\theta = \sin^{-1} \frac{1}{3}\]

use the calculator

Okay, thanks! I got 19 :)
