Order of operations are Parenthesis Exponents Multiplication Division Addition Subtraction first do what's inside of the parenthesis 12/3 *2 4*2 now it's: 82 + 9(8) - 7 Since we don't have any exponents we move on to multiplication 9(8) = 72 82+ 72 - 7 no division, so now addition 154 - 7 now subtraction 147
