I think it's fair to say that "lateral" area is the same as the total surface area, correct? If that's the case, then the area is the sum of the areas of each triangular face plus the area of the square base. Seems safe to say that it's a square base, at least. So, \[A_{total}=\left(\sum A_{\Delta}\right)+A_{square}\]
