Centrioles are the organelles that make "mitotic spindles," or SPINDLE FIBERS. 

If you've talked about mitosis,
you'll remember that during mitosis, 
our chromosomes are pulled apart, to opposite sides of our cell, 
before our cell divides. 

The SPINDLE FIBERS are what pulls the chromosomes apart.
