why do eukaryotic cells need centrioles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Centrioles are the organelles that make "mitotic spindles," or SPINDLE FIBERS. If you've talked about mitosis, you'll remember that during mitosis, our chromosomes are pulled apart, to opposite sides of our cell, before our cell divides. The SPINDLE FIBERS are what pulls the chromosomes apart. Oh look, I explained all that without copying & pasting some paragraph that I can't even understand myself!
