the concentration C of a certain chemical in the bloodstream t hours after injection into muscle tissue is given by C=3t/27+t^3, t>=0. a) when is the concentration greatest? b)what is the greatest concentration? c)what is lowest concentration and when does the lowest concentration occur?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Are you sure your equation is written correctly? The concentration just keeps increasing with time, with that formula...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perhaps it's \[\frac{3t}{27 + t^3}\] after all?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

That'd make a whole lot more sense. If you're in calculus, you can prob use differentiation to find the max concentration.

I'd help more but need sleep. Here's a graph for you to check your answers to a and b once you get them... https://www.google.com/search?q=3t%2F(27%2Bt%5E3)&oq=3t%2F(27%2Bt%5E3)&aqs=chrome.0.57j62l3.3944&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
