The name of the system in which Great Britain bought raw materials from the colonies and sold finished products back to them at high prices was called?
Imperialism
@texaschic101 Are you sure? My options are Economy, Mercantilism, Triangle Trade, and Middle Passage.
Certainly not imperialism :) . Sounds like the answer is Mercantilism. :)
@PSI Thank you! :D
No problem :)
Sounds like the answer is Triangle Trade* :)
It is either going to triangle trade or mercantilism. I'm not sure. Read this and see what you think.... http://www.landofthebrave.info/mercantilism.htm
She told me later that it wasn't Triangle Trade, strangely enough >.> . I mean, its simple: Slaves were brought from Africa to be sold to the American colonies, who would then extract raw materials (anything ranging from iron ore to tobacco) for the colonies which would then be shipped over to Great Britain. Great Britain would then use these raw materials to make finished goods who would then force the goods upon the Americans at ridiculous prices since the Americans were in desperate need of the goods. The answer had to be Triangle Trade... but it wasn't >.>. So yeah, it has to be mercantilism, if not somehow economy...
