(a) Find the slope of the curve y=x^2-5x-4 at the point P(3,-10) by finding the limit of the secant slopes through point P. (b) Find an equation of the tangent line to the curve at P(3,-10)

OpenStudy (klimenkov):

Can you take a derivative from \(y\) ? If you can, please, do it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know

OpenStudy (klimenkov):

Please, read about the derivative. And ask again.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you can. the slope is one. I don't know how to make a tangent equation though.
