Could someone please explain to me

what are real numbers? I dont want no wikipedia page or any of that, just a good description that i could tell someone who doesnt like math what those are please.

in a very crude sense, real numbers are anything that can be written as a decimal (could have an infnite number of decimals).

Well, if said friend could make sense of the number line, well, a real number is a number that could possibly correspond to a point on the number line.

And that's not even true, because irrational numbers aren't integers neither :P

A number family chart may help. The set of Reals is everything you see within the Real Number section. The only Real numbers you may encounter any time soon are all of them exept for numbers such as 2 + 3i which are Complex Number which are not Real.
