Solve the system of inequalities by graphing. Y<2x+5 2x-y< 3

|dw:1360528121351:dw| Start by drawing those lines of yours. That should always be your very first step when doing this question graphically.

Now use the origin, which has coordinates (0,0) and sub the values of y and x into each equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So when you sub (0,0) into this equation. \[y<2x+5\] It becomes \[0<2(0)+5\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now tell me whether that inequality is true when you sub in the origin (0,0)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I say the word "true" as in, does the inequality work. so if you end up with 1>0, then that means its true because 1 IS definitely grater than 0.
