Does anybody have any idears..? How does Jamaica's government differ from those of other former colonies in the Caribbean, such as Puerto Rico? Jamaica's government insisted on the abolishment of slavery. Jamaica's government changed radically following its independence. Jamaica is nominally ruled by a constitutional monarchy inspired by Spain. Jamaica has a bicameral parliament, and remains a member of the British Commonwealth.
