Angle W = Angle Y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I know that, but how to find w & y?

Angle in a Quadriteral add up to 360 right. So since W = Y = 2X 2X +87+38= 360 Solve for X which is equal to W or Y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thanks!

117.5 degrees?

In a kite, two opposite angles are congruent, and two opposite angles are not congruent. Since you know the two that are not congruent, that means the other two, W and Y are congruent. In an n-sided polygon, the sum of the measures of the angles is (n - 2)180. Since this is a 4-sided polygon, the sum of the measures of the angles is (4 - 2)180 = 2(180) = 360 Subtract 38 and 87 from 360, and then divide that by 2.
